Initiative of Egypt-Mexico Cultural Relations 15/01/2021

Before the start of a series of cultural relation seminars, Professor Inas Abdel Dayem, Egyptian Minister of Culture, received Ambassador José Octaio Tripp, the Mexican Ambassador to Cairo, and Ambassador Ashraf Munir, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Latin American Affairs. The series of seminars were held in cooperation with the Sector of Foreign Cultural Relations and the Supreme Council for Culture headed by Secretary General Prof. Hesham Azmi. The cultural events started with an evening celebrating the National Day of the State of Mexico.

Abdel Dayem said that the series of seminars entitled cultural relations are in the framework of “Culture between Your Hands” initiative to continue the enlightenment message of Egyptian culture. The Minister added that it is a distinct model for partnership and cooperation between the state institutions as it is launched in coordination with Egypt’s Ministry of Culture and Foreign Affairs. Her Excellency confirmed that the initiative aimed at to consolidating friendship ties between Egypt and other countries in addition to shedding light on the activities of creative communication with the peoples of the world. H.E congratulated the Mexican ambassador to Cairo on the occasion of his state's national day and gave him a set of publications of Ministry of Culture in English and Spanish including a book entitled Treasures of Our Museums and Persian Manuscripts.
